Dear Friends, Filmmakers & Activists -

When Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, something profound was triggered inside me. It had to do with witnessing a great injustice, a blatant disregard for international law and a foreboding sense that a dangerous authoritarian regime was getting away with an unprovoked and unthinkable act of war.

I'm reaching out to you—global citizens who are conscious of what's at stake—to secure your support for this important documentary film, aptly named UKRAINE UNDER FIRE. Your contribution will be run through the COMMON Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that manages and administers the non-profit goals of my socially-driven company, Ramro Global LLC, which has successfully produced humanitarian films in complicated countries like Libya, Lebanon, Colombia and Guatemala.

Through my unvarnished war reportage and by working with world-class Ukrainian filmmakers and journalists, UKRAINE UNDER FIRE aspires to capture the spirit of one nation’s heroic resistance that has inspired the entire world. While this film is slated to be an intimate portrayal of the war told by Ukrainians themselves, it’s also a show of international solidarity to stand up against a brutal, totalitarian regime.
 
As this unfathomable conflict continues, UKRAINE UNDER FIRE is a film organized to catalyze our collective voice, help shape U.S. policy and international action to boldly denounce Russia’s terrorist actions.
